Using Audio Plug-Ins

Acoustica supports all common plugin standards so that you can use plug-ins from your favorite brands in your Acoustica sessions and workflow.

Acoustica supports the plug-in formats VST, VST3 and Audio Units. The latter is only available on Mac. You can scan for and manage plug-ins using the Plug-in Manager.

Adding Plug-Ins from the Plug-Ins menu

Plug-ins can be added from the Plug-Ins menu in the top bar. From this menu we can:

  • access the Plug-in Manager
  • select a third party plugin from the Plug-ins section, divided by type: AudioUnit, VST, and VST3
  • see recently used plug-ins

Adding Plug-Ins to the Processing Chain

Plugins can be added in the same way Acoustica's audio tools are added to the processing chain. By clicking the + button, we can select a third party plugin from the Plug-ins section, divided by type: AudioUnit, VST, and VST3
