Saving Audio Files

Quick Save

Acoustica allows you to quick save an audio file. Use quick save if you don't need to change the name or location of the file, or any of the audio settings.

To Quick Save, choose Save from the File menu, press Ctrl/⌘ + S or click the save icon in the main toolbar.

Save As a New File

If you wish to save the current audio with a different name, in a different folder or with different audio settings, use Save As a New File

  • Choose Save as... from the File menu or press F12

  • Browse to a folder where you wish to save the audio file (optional)

  • Enter a name for your audio file

  • Choose the file format of your audio file from the Save as type drop-down list

  • You can set the bit rate of the audio file by selecting the Options button

  • Select the Save button to save the audio file

For the list of formats Acoustica can write, see Supported File Formats. To write each region of a recording to a file of its own, see Saving Regions to Files.

Editing the File Metadata

Titles, credits, cover art, broadcast timestamps and loop information are stored in the file alongside the audio. Choose Edit Properties... from the File menu to edit them before saving — see File Properties and Metadata.
