Reaper¶

In Reaper, ARA plug-ins are inserted as track effects and ARA plug-ins must be the first plug-in in the track insert chain. The Acoustica ARA plug-in will be active for all clips in the track that has the Acoustica ARA plug-in inserted. Acoustica ARA will always show the clip that is selected in REAPER.

Step-by-step guide¶

For this guide, we assume that you have set up a Reaper session with an audio file present on an audio track.

If you are unsure how to do so, please refer to the Reaper manual and user guides.

Add Acoustica 8 (ARA) in the first audio effects slot on the channel containing the audio you would like to edit as shown below. Click the FX button indicated with the red arrow below.
This will open the plug-in list in Reaper. Navigate to the Developer section, find Acon Digital and choose Acoustica 8 ARA as shown below. Click the Add button in the bottom right to add the plug-in.
This will open the Acoustica 8 ARA plug-in within Reaper. You can make your edits and changes as normal. Changes will now automatically synchronize between Reaper and Acoustica.

Rendering your changes¶

Once you are happy with your changes, we recommend that you Render your changes. Doing so will create a new file containing all of your changes. You can revert back to the original unchanged file from within your DAW.

To Render your changes:

Select Track > Render/freeze tracks > Render tracks to...

Removing ARA plugins¶

Click the FX button for the track containing Acoustica 8 ARA to open its Plug-in window. Select the Acoustica 8 ARA plug-in, and then click the Remove button in the bottom left, as shown below.
