Selecting Regions¶
How to select regions¶
Acoustica does all processing on the selected region and the selected channels only. The selected region is highlighted.
Selecting a Region¶
-
Click the beginning of the region you wish to select and keep the mouse button down.
-
Move the mouse cursor to the end of the region you wish to select while keeping the mouse button down.
-
Release the mouse button.
-
The newly selected region should now by highlighted.
Modify selected Region¶
As shown in the screenshot below, you can modify the selected region:
-
Hover over the beginning or end of the region. Your cursor symbol will change to an arrow that points both left and right.
-
Click and hold the beginning or the end of the region and drag it to the desired location.

Working with the Selection¶
Once you have a selection, several commands act on it as a whole:
-
Invert Selection (Edit > Selection) selects everything that is currently unselected, and vice versa.
-
Create Clip from Selection (Edit menu) opens the selected range in a clip editor of its own, so you can work on a difficult passage in isolation.
-
Select Previous and Select Next (Edit > Selection) step back and forth through your selection history, which recovers a carefully drawn selection lost to a stray click.
See Cursor and Selection Navigation for the full set of selection and cursor commands and their keyboard shortcuts.
