We built this update by listening — really listening — to the challenges you and the rest of the audio community told us you were running into. The result is a set of new AI-assisted tools that speed up the mundane parts of restoration and editing, without ever taking the wheel away from you. You're still the one making the creative calls — Acoustica 8 just gets the legwork done faster.
And as always, no subscriptions. Just one straightforward, perpetual license.
What's new at a glance
- Restoration Suite, rebuilt. DeNoise 3 and DeHum 3 now run on machine learning models, so you can skip the noise-profile step entirely and get straight to cleaning up your audio. DeClip 3 and DeClick 3 also pick up refreshed interfaces
- AudioFill. Our interpolation and retouch engine now handles much larger time regions, with more natural-sounding results.
- "Select similar" in the spectral editor. Select one spectral region and instantly find every other region sharing its characteristics — a big time-saver for tracking down repeated noise.
- Adjustable time and frequency feathering. Smoother blending around every spectral edit.
- Stereo View. Stereo placement is now mapped onto the spectrogram in colour, so you can see balance issues, not just hear them.
- Immersive audio support. Up to 9.1.6 channels, including Dolby Atmos, in the Ultimate edition.
- A complete UI refresh. A new launch page, a dockable Processing Tools pane, and a fully customisable toolbar.
- Extract:Dialogue 2. Independent sliders and sensitivity controls for voice, noise, and reverb, so you can isolate dialogue more precisely, even from tricky source recordings.
- Full ARA2 integration, in every edition. Get the complete Acoustica clip editor inside any ARA2 host, with a dedicated Link plug-in handling AAX transfers for Pro Tools.
- Three editions, one philosophy. Standard, Premium, and Ultimate — all perpetual licenses, as always.
A bit more detail, for the curious
The Restoration Suite got the biggest technical overhaul in this release. With DeNoise 3 and DeHum 3 now running on new machine learning models, there's no more collecting a noise profile before you get started — just cleaner results on dialogue, ambience, and music, and noticeably faster performance. DeClip 3 and DeClick 3 round things out with updated interfaces.
The spectral editor picked up several precision upgrades too. Stereo View shows you stereo placement right on the spectrogram in colour, so stereo balance issues are easy to spot without switching tools. "Select similar" finds spectral regions that share the same traits as your current selection — handy for chasing down repeated noise across a file. Time and frequency feathering are now adjustable for smoother repairs, and AudioFill's interpolation engine has been rebuilt to handle much larger regions while still sounding natural.
Extract:Dialogue 2 now gives you separate sliders and sensitivity controls for voice, noise, and reverb — more precise isolation when the source recording itself has problems.
We also gave the interface a full redesign: a new launch page to get you into a session faster, a dockable Processing Tools window, and a toolbar you can rearrange to fit your own workflow.
And DAW integration remains a big focus — every edition of Acoustica 8 includes the ARA2 plug-in, so you get the full Acoustica clip editor inside any ARA2-compatible host with no extra file transfers. If you're on Pro Tools, our dedicated Link plug-in handles AAX transfers for you.
